Watchmaker Jacob Arabo’s latest Billionaire creation arrives 11 years after the first and is set with 714 white diamonds totalling 129.60 carats
Jacob & Co. have established itself as one of the most luxurious watch brands on the planet. Founded by Jacob Arabo, who The Notorious B.I.G. nicknamed “Jacob the Jeweller”, Arabo is known for his expensive timepieces merging traditional techniques with modern designs and a shitload of diamonds.
11 years since the last Billionaire release, the New York-based craftsman has unveiled Billionaire III – which highlights a new type of “angel-cut” diamond, which is named after his wife of 37 years, Angela. These diamonds feature 37 cuts designed to make the diamond shine.
“Launching the angel cut within this platform was a deliberate decision,” Jacob & Co. CEO Benjamin Arabov said in a statement. “When you develop a patented cut designed to redefine how a diamond interacts with light, it deserves a stage of equal intensity.”
The 129-carat Billionaire III is a timepiece like no other, with the 41 mm white gold case adorned with 98 angel-cut diamonds, while the dial contains 88 angel-cut gems and 80 baguette-cut stones. Not bouge enough? The white-gold clasp on the blue alligator leather strap has 30 angel-cut stones, and the crown is adorned with one rose-cut diamond.
The watch is powered by a hand-wound JCAM39 skeleton movement comprising 167 components with a 72-hour power reserve.
The Billionaire III is limited to 18 pieces. Price available upon request. For more details, visit jacobandco.com.
